DAF Information

The MPB Fund established our donor-advised fund (DAF) structure  because it is a simple, tax-smart investment solution for charitable giving.

WE ACCEPT THIRD PARTY CONTRIBUTIONS FROM PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS, i.e., non-operating foundations with a PF code, and this will count towards the 5% Rule.

The MPB Fund is set up through Charles Schwab, via their Schwab Charitable arm, their legal name is Donor Advised Charitable Giving.

For individual giving, Schwab Charitable operates as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity, allowing individuals to contribute assets or cash to the fund, receive an immediate tax deduction, and if desired, direct their contribution to the MPB Fund supported nursing school of their choice.

This DAF is recognized as a Public Charity under the IRS code.  You can confirm this tax filing status via the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search which we commonly refer to as the EO select by searching via our EIN 31-1640316.

It is important to note that 100% of all contributions to the MPB Fund go to the Community Colleges and Nursing Programs we support.  All overhead and administrative costs are donated by the managers of the fund.
